Privacy, by architecture.
NyayVaani is built so there is very little to disclose. Your documents never leave your machine, and the fewer places your data can go, the shorter this page needs to be.
Your documents never reach our servers.
NyayVaani indexes and searches your matter files entirely on your own device. We don’t operate a document store, so we couldn’t disclose, lose, or hand over what we never received.
- Your documents
- are read, indexed, and searched on your disk. Nothing is uploaded, mirrored, cached, or retained on any server we operate.
- Your prompts
- travel directly from your machine to the model provider you chose — Gemini, Claude, or OpenAI — under your own key. We don’t sit in the middle, and we don’t log what was in the exchange.
- Your key
- is stored locally on your device, encrypted at rest. If you use an included plan instead of your own key, requests are relayed under a firm-level credential we vend — that still doesn’t require us to read the contents of your documents.
What we do collect.
- Account and early-access details you give us directly — name, email, firm, and anything you write to us.
- Product usage signals needed to keep the service running — error reports and request timestamps — never the content of a document or a prompt.
- Billing information, if you’re on an included plan, handled by our payment processor. We don’t store card numbers ourselves.
We don’t run third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this website. The only thing it saves in your browser is your light/dark theme preference, in local storage — it never leaves your device.
Retention & deletion.
Since documents and prompts never reach us, there’s nothing of yours to retain or purge on that front. Account and usage data is kept for as long as your account is active, plus a short operational window, then deleted. Write to us and we’ll delete what we hold sooner.
Your choices.
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at hello@nyayvaani.ai. Because NyayVaani is local-first, deleting your account doesn’t touch anything on your machine — that data was always yours.
Changes to this policy.
If this changes in a way that matters, we’ll say so plainly here, with a new effective date, and where required, tell you directly. We don’t rewrite history quietly. Questions go to hello@nyayvaani.ai.
